Floyd's PPV failing would be the best thing for boxing right now!

Like I said. They're more concerned with floyds financial and health well being than they are watching him in the ring with career defining opponents. Rather than seeing the logic behind this thread they automatically go into Floyd guardian angel mode. Floyds ppv against Guerrero underperforming puts the pressure on him to step up his competition in his next fight. How is this bad? Shouldn't all boxing fans want to see this?Last edited by Deevel916; 04-30-2013, 06:08 AM.Comment

You state as fact that Devon Alexander would be the next opponent in September if floyd wins. How do you know that?
You are entitlted to your opinion but you use supposition to defend that opinion and that is what other posters are questioning.Comment

We tried this back in 2010. All the Floyd fans agreed that it would be best that
for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather PPV's to fail, however Pac fans felt that it was legit fights with Pacquiao fighting Margarito and Mosley.Comment

I'm not a fan of Floyd's persona but I will definitely tune in and pay to watch him as long as its against a legit opponent. I will not pay for Guerrero nor will I pay to watch him fight someone like Alexander. I respect his skills but unlike his fanboys, I want to see him in the most challenging fights possible. I can care less about what's financially beneficial to him. I'm a fan of the sport. Not his accountant.Comment

Do Canelo fans (and Mayweather haters) want Canelo to fight Mayweather, or are they just blowing a lot of hot air because they think the fight won't happen? In the case of Pacquiao v Mayweather I could understand people clamouring for the fight as people honestly believed Pacquiao could win that match up. Looking at Canelo's resume and recent fights I don't understand how people can honestly reach the conclusion that he is a severe threat to Mayweather.Comment
