A better question is, why isn't he going after a pretty green, yet hugely marketable Canelo in favor of much less marketable zero threats like Guerrero, Alexander, or marketable but hugely flawed, zero threat Khan?

because then the question would be

"Why isn't he going after Guerrero? He's chasing the money vs the more inexperienced and less deserving fighter in Canelo who is coming off a victory over a 140 lb."

We're looking at 4-6 fights for Floyd, let the man be judged after his career is over. Instead of sitting here debating who he isn't fighting before he even starts his new contract with Showtime.

You said PAC. Not happening and that would have been lame as hell since he was coming off a ko. Marquez doesn't want the fight, most fans don't either since Floyd won so easily. CAnelo didn't do anything until the trout fight. And Martinez is the 160 champ. Now tell me again how any of those guys would be a credible fight for may 4th

Man Guerrero is an afterthought. I'd say nice guy, deserves a payday, though apparently not very bright and a jesus freak. But give me his top 3 wins. Then compare to wildly overhyped Canelo, who's only getting started. Somehow the cherrypicking hypejob built up a better resume in a couple of years than the "6 time, 4 division champ" lol

Marquez, Canelo and Martinez would have taken the fight had they been offered it, but Floyd would rather fight the super lightweight beast and conqueror of the awesome Andre 'the GOATkeeper' Berto, Robert 'experienced WW' Guerrero.

There's only 1 welter weight that is deserving of a Mayweather fight, and that's Bradley. Everything else can be easily criticized at this point. We're going to see the Canelo fight most likely. For 2014, the fighter that comes out of that 140 tourney will be the most deserving to fight Floyd. Since opposition is thin and they want to fight in the UK...Khan can just have two more wins vs credible opponents (most likely can't do it though) and they're have a fight in the UK for late next year. Either way, they're all not on Floyd's class, even if one of them looks impressive in their previous fights. Pacquiao will be a cherry pick too, unless he avenges his JMM and Bradley losses then it becomes a legit fight again.

Paul spadafora would take a Floyd fight too, that doesn't make him a legit opponent. Again you can't back up your claim and ghost weighs more than Floyd so just stop with the lightweight stuff.

you really don't know how weights and weight classes work in boxing, do ya dong?

what weight was it that floyd started out at?
what weight was it that ghost started out at?
                  oh ok.

its really surprising to me that you failed yet again

theres not a fighter on this planet that flomos like this twat wouldnt criticize for floyd fighting them. not one. anyone that believes otherwise is mentally challenged. dong is either extremely lacking in the temporal lobe department, or is the most amazing troll that NSB has ever seen. either way, he gets a gold star from me!

I agree it's slim pickings at 147, but there's a load of fights I'd rather see at him take at 154 than Guerrero, Alexander, or Khan, and some of them are even more marketable (Martinez at 54, Canelo especially)

I wouldn't like to see Martinez at 154 due to his age and the fact that he hasn't made that weight in quite a long time. It only makes sense at 160, but we're now going in to the territory of expecting Floyd to do unreasonable things.
