Peter Quillin: "GGG is a risky fighter"..."Not enough money to fight him"

Scared or losing, scared of getting beaten up - does it really make a difference? The fact that Quillin is even making comments like this suggests that he doesn't have much confidence in himself to beat Golovkin.
Too many mid-level guys like Quillin are being given far too much leeway in this sport, and the networks are protecting them and denying fans the type of fights that we should be seeing. And worst of all, fans are starting to accept it.Comment

I wonder how long it is though. I don't think GGG will be disloyal and jump ship after his 5 fight year is done, but I wouldn't mind him doing that one fight before resigning as Chocolate is the only belt holder with showtime

Quillin has no chance against GGG. Who would want to see that?
Mix and match Martinez, Geale, GGG-Macklin and Murray and I'm good. I wouldn't count Jr. out either.
Quillin is not an elite fighter and none of the top dogs in the division should be thinking about him. If anything, he brings no money to the table.Comment

I think it'd be interesting if he just took, after his deal with HBO was done, a one fight deal with Showtime just to fight Peter. But I don't think either would like that (HBO and Showtime) as both would want him as long as possible.Comment

because it's hard to understand that guys like Muhammed Ali and mike Tyson fought anyone and everyone, because they wanted greatness, not milk their career with "low risk" fights so they can take make money. Besides a unified, undisputed champion of the world will make FAR more money then any boxer like Quillan milking his title with title defenses against the Fernando Guerreros of the world his whole career.
This is boxing, not tap dancing. Anytime you step in the ring is a risk, if you don't want to "risk your career" then you simply aren't good enough or shouldn't be boxing.
Don't be ******, without the hardcore and "armchair" boxing fans, boxers wouldn't even get paid in the first place. They'd be brawling with their friends in someone's back yard for free.

Right, and you understand the heart of a boxer with your 5000 posts on the same forum.

I didn't get Quillen being scared of GG when I saw the interview. You clowns bring up the scared ducking crap because you have the right to. Guys like Quillen aren't scared of GG, but if you can get a rise out of Broner, Floyd or Quillen fans, go for it eh? Phony mofo's.Comment

COnsidering Quillin got paid $340K for Guerrero and Golovkin is 100X the risk Guerrero is, im assuming Quillin wants $30 mil to fight golovkinComment
