What no one is talking about in Mayweather/Guerrero...

is the impact Robert Byrd will have on this fight. Will he let the Ghost fight on the inside? Or will he be like Cortez in the Mayweather/Hatton fight and break them up every time they get close? I could see this being a big issue in this fight.

He should let him fight on the inside as long as he doesn't hold and hit like he does.

I'm pretty sure Mayweather's camp will bring that issue up pre-fight so don't expect that dirty **** to go down Saturday.

Byrd is a good ref, but he gets really pissed off at all infractions and when fighters ignore his instructions/warnings. I think they'll be able to fight on the inside, but that holding the back of the head and punching **** is out for this fight.

        EDIT:

        Misread thread title.

The ref won't be an issue.

I remember byrd letting bradley tee off on pac's body while they were tied up and telling pac to do something about it. But I have't really seen much of him. I hope he let's them fight. Let floyd use his elbows and fore arm and let guerrero hold and hit.

if the ref doesn't let Guerrero work on the inside, it will be a long fight for him

The biased ref will not allow Guerrero to rough Floyd up on the inside, and there's no chance in hell Guerrero will outbox Mayweather.

If Guerrero is a good inside fighter, he does not have to worry about the ref. Good inside fighters do not blame refs for not being effective. Mayweather is an exceptional inside fighter but you never see him frustrated about fighting inside, that is because he does not do the illegal tactic of holding and hitting. Floyd may push and throw elbows some times, but he does not hold so he does not have to worry about that. Guerrero on the other hand, if holding is part of his inside fighting then he's in deep trouble.

Holding is done by garbage wrestler boxers like Tyson Fury. That is not inside fighting.

but throwing elbows and pushing is inside fighting?, dude just shut the fuck up. Your attempt at trying to explain what inside fighting is just made you look like a dumbass.

Inside fights rarely happens. Refs tend to always keep an eye on the slightest clinch, then enforce a break. It happens because the ref makes it happen. Khan/Peterson ref let it happen, as one example. Salido/Garcia didn't let it happen. Berto/Guerrero let it happen. Cotto gave up going on the inside because the ref won't let him.
