They took muscle from his legs and stacked it on to his elite neck

I think it's amazing how the most fundamental of flaws get ignored sometimes. Khan can't slip shots, and so he can't trade on the inside with anyone who isn't feather fisted. He basically has no alternative to his in an out motion because he can't do anything else.
People criticise Pacquiao's defence and that criticism is often reasonable, but Pac is a defensive maestro compared to Khan. He can get suckered into traps but he isn't a sitting duck every time he's in range like Khan is. And what's more he's got a chin. Khan doesn't have good head movement, he can't roll shots because he doesn't see them until it's too late, and he can't avoid counters unless he has the ear muffs up.
Khan's only strategy is to pummel opponents with combinations to the extent that they start to cover up and get gun shy. He needs to discourage opponents, because if they're not discouraged they can take his head off any time he spends more than two seconds in the pocket.Comment

I think Khan's problems are inherent, he has exception physical gifts his boxing brain just seems step behind. For example his control of distance is probably the poorest at 140, knowing that he can't fight inside he invites it by constants going to the ropes in the 2nd half of the fight.
He was getting caught with the left hook constantly last night especially in exchanges, he can't seem to get away from it.Comment

his offense is his defence, last night he didn't pummel diaz, he took his foot off the accelerator and backed away, thus diaz confidence grew towards the later roundsComment

That fight did not bode well for his chances against the top guys...Comment
