Murray isn't that good, and would get murked by Golovkin. Sergio had a bad night and that's all. I'd love for Quillin to face Golovkin.
Murray vs Golovkin later this year

i agree, he's solid but nothing special. Didn't really show any kinks last night, just played the bigger guy without blocking with his face like Jr.Comment

Last time Murray was to fight in the US, vs Chavez, he was denied a visa for having been in prison. I'm not really sure how much promoters can help here, these guys are very inflexible. Certainly Angulo would have gotten a bigger push than whatever Murray can expect. But maybe they could fight in Europe.Comment

Golovkin has no problems fighting overseas, so they can do this overseasLast time Murray was to fight in the US, vs Chavez, he was denied a visa for having been in prison. Right, but HBO doesn't love going overseas unless it's an event fight, and nobody likes tape delays. So it's tricky logistically. It'd make sense for one of GGG's Euro stay busy fights, but I agree HBO would like Murray back. Maybe Canada would let him in? I think with GGG you can get creative with the site, he's flexible. Chavez undercard in Mexico?Comment

Golovkin could use his non HBO fight for this like he did against Ishida.Right, but HBO doesn't love going overseas unless it's an event fight, and nobody likes tape delays. The only problem is there won't be as much money compared to if it was on HBO. So what I think needs to be done is Murray sort his Visa problems out by December so a fight can happen.
If Golovkin was on a Chavez undercard, it would be to build up to ao fight against each otherComment

Shit, I forgot about that. Well, there goes the possibility of Murray/Quillin.Last time Murray was to fight in the US, vs Chavez, he was denied a visa for having been in prison. Yeah, but since HBO wants him back, it'd be ****** to take on GGG on Wealth TV. Anyway, since Chavez wants Murray, that's a no brainer. Put it in Mexico, no visa issues. Probably a good hard hitting fight.Golovkin could use his non HBO fight for this like he did against Ishida.

Quillin is seriously strapped for options. Maybe Geale, but Shaw has been totally squeezed out at Showtime, and is probably on much better terms with HBO. Still money talks. Barker is also an option, but just as likely for Hearn to snatch Geale away for Barker.Comment
