Aregentina's the worst place you could fight in. If Murray won the 50k people would have trampled his team to the ground. Good job ref I guess he got the message from the Argentinian mob too.

Same thing I thought. He looked very old today. Might be time to hang em up

I scored it 115-112 Martinez, though. Judges agreed.

I'm a maravilla fan, but that was a knockdown, he should drop to 154, giving size advantange is catching up to him. I still think he won, and Murray let the fight go away in the last 2 rounds.

Murray fought a hell of a fight and almost pulled off a major upset. I was Surprised that Murray was as gracious in defeat as I thought the fight was very close. Martinez did what he had to do and it is amazing he is still able to outwork the young kids in the latter rounds. Was a very good match, even though Martinez had to get oh his bicycle for quite a few rounds, and I am looking forward to see what both men will do in the future.

the conditions totally killed Martinez, the wet ring and damp weather must be hard on the old guy.

I'm a Martinez fan but we might have seen his best days. Maybe he'll get somebody like Canelo now. another big money fight and then goodbye

i think its about that time

Martinez lost a step, perfect timing for Floyd to challenge Martinez

Hes gracious in defeat because he accepted it would go this way if it went the distance exactly like the sturm fight these days you got to kill the other fighter to get that belt its disgusting.

I had this 114-113 martinez. But, i might be wrong because he was hard to understand, but it seemed that murray admitted the second wasn't a knockdown and that he lost a close decision. I agree with him on both points. Murray's only complaint was the scores were too wide. Again, i agree with him there as well. He is a class act. He'd have won if he'd have been more active. The problem with the high guard is, if you aren't active, people only see and hear hard shots coming off your arms. While those might not be scoring blows, they are a lot more impressive than just holding your arms up defending. Hard to when from that defense unless you are pretty active or can really crack.

In light of this poor performance, I really think that's the fight to make now. If the Floyd that fought Cotto fought the Martinez that fought Murray, Floyd would win easily regardless of any weight differences/advantages/disadvantages.
