Murray has a hell if a poker face. Was I the only one surprised to hear Martinez had him hurt in the 12th?

I didn't see it either. Maybe he was but as you say it was not very noticeable.

You're right, he wasn't touched. He was punched. Repeatedly. And it was a knockdown, though it didn't impact the margin of victory anyway.

I noticed that Murray was hurt in the 12th because he suddenly started backpedaling and laying on the ropes, and he stopped punching.

It was noticeable...U just didn't catch it. It was one of the 2 times Murray was seen going backwards for an extended period in a rd. He hurt him 1 time earlier as well w/ a str left that had all the commentators wondering why he was retreating. Murray is a very study s.o.b. & conceals his fatigue & when he's stunned very well.

As far as the 2nd kd. Serg was hit in the back of the head behind the ear. Same spot as that 1st Paul Williams fight that looked like a slip. Exact same grazing blow.

Overall I thought Serg won..But looked weary thru out the contest....wasn't explasive or sharp like in the JCC jr fight. He's an undersized champion Who fights these larger...heavier...opps. But he's older & has the mindset to fight an exciting...sometimes reckless & punishing style. He needs to rest & heal. & he needs to set up some big final fights & ride off into the sun....the injuries is a sign of wear. Serg just needs to pull a floyd & fight once a year. Murry is the 3rd come fwd fighter to fight out of character & choose to keep his hands home & box in spots. No way u can win that way. It's a testament to SM's power....But serg needs to learn some in-fighting....some smothering & wrapping up more. He has to stop allowing this particular style to make him look bad. I don't think the weather or the broken hand & surgery helped him out tonight either. But I do think he won. Even w/ the 2nd kd.
