Yes but a chin is a chin. Khan boxes well and wins rounds. However his issue is, when he is hurt, usually he loses that round.

I thought maybe Hunter would fix Khan going back in a straight line, dropping that right hand in exchanges, better technique on his combos.

Andre Ward would say different. Khan just can't help but fight recklessly. Kinda the same with Kirkland when he took that fight against Ishida off from Wolfe and tried a real who tried to make him think instead of Wolfe just toughening him up for War to win with

It isn't Hunter's fault. Khan gets hurt and reverts back to what he knows.
It only takes one flush shot and once Khan gets hurt, he plays into his opponent's hands.

I thought he showed improvements. He would have lost that fight a year ago. He may well continue to improve.

Only criticism I have of Virgil is that he's too lazy to get into the ring to talk to his fighter between rounds.
