He needs to get back with Ariza as his conditioning coach.

Yes, Khan is a big British Pakistani thinker.
He's rather write some books based on his thinking -- elite boxing is not for him anymore...

if matthysse ever fights khan all he has to do is weather the early storm of khan's slapping combinations and then land 1 shot over 12 rounds.

He should stay faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away from Matthysse though.
His next fight should be Peterson or Garcia and If (and it is a big "IF") He should get past one if the two he will have gotten himself in the conversation to take on Floyd because we all know that obviously Floyd will fight Khan along the way If he is really going to fight 5 more times. Maybe a tune up at WW and then Khan win or lose against Floyd will then complete his career and his goal of retiring right at age 28.

dude garcia was timing khan so easily after just 2 rounds. Everyone says the fight only changed because of his "lucky" left hook but go back and watch it again because garcia is landing good shots even before the neck shot. Im pretty sure kellerman even points this out in commentary before the neck shot.

Garcia's left hook will land during the fight and when it does look out because diaz's left hook was giving khan all sorts of wobbly leg issues.

I've been saying the same thing for a year now, an Khan seemed to have much much less pop on his punches tonight than usual.

Waz, be serious. I like Amir(and don't particularly rate Garcia like some do) but he'll catch Khan with a left hook in between the exchanges. In fact, Amir won't even get off to the blistering start he did in the first fight - his confidence really does seem low.

If they're serious about developing Khan with Virgil Hunter, he needs to have some really easy fights for a year to 18 months - pushing him into a world title fight next is a disaster waiting to happen.

I understand: in the first tuneup fight you get knocked down and staggered... In the second your the king -- or the khan, whatever...

I'm beginning to think it's Khan's legs that are shot or failing and his chin isn't his only weak point. He does the same dance, rubbery legged, while he reaches out, knowingly, with his arms to break his fall. Rock steady is not his calling card.

Don't forget that Khan does much better against shorter fighters. Matthyese may have power but he is still only 5'6 and still starts his fights slow. While Khan will be vulnerable to his power, Matthyese will also be vulnerable to Khan's reach, blazing speed, and leveraged punches from above..
