To be real his chin was never his problem, I know how crazy that's gonna sound but let's face facts here. He doesn't have an iron jaw but the cut to 135 was affecting him and the shots Prescott hit him with would have taken down a horse. At 140 he actually had a very sturdy chin. Look at his fights against Peterson, Maidana, Judah and even Danny Garcia, they all caught him with a LOT of CLEAN punches, he took them all, stood on his feet and kept firing off. He was hurt but he took massive punches in cumulation and never got stopped or dropped. But that's not where the problem lies, your jaw is like a wall and the more and more u chip away at it, it slowly starts to crumble, u take enough of those shots and ur jaw is gonna lose its strength and crumble, that was the case against Garcia and that was the LAST straw for Amir. The shots he took before that didn't hurt him were hurting him EVERY SINGLE TIME in this fight. If Diaz landed clean Khan would wobble. And the issue used to be that he had a good chin but he can't see and react to punches that are coming in. He drops his right hand and sticks his chin up when he hooks, he jabs and then leans on his back foot so he's open for a right counter, he just does everything wrong defensively and can't help but getting caught clean. Now his chin is shot and isn't there to make up for this defensive flaws when a few shots get through.

He's a good kid but its only a matter of time now before he goes to sleep and I just hope he doesn't ruin his future and end up punch drunk like a Terry Norris or one of those sad boxing stories
you obviously didnt watch that fight because garcia had him down and doing the chicken dance

Yea I know It won't happen now but Virgil is not good for Khan. The only change that is going to end up occurring if he stays with Virgil is that he will end up getting KTFO in even less than 54 seconds like Mike Dallas did..

Great, great point. How better to bring fans and money to the winner than to beat the "great king Khan"?

hadn't thought about it like that. Maybe that's why i'm not in business HAHA

Im assuming you are being a smart ass but cant tell because it is online

the public in england gobbles up all the **** the media and the athletes feed them over there (used to live there). They probably think khan is still going to clean out 140lbs then roll 147's best and finish off by beating mayweather.

if one of those other guys beat khan in a high profile tourney fight it will open up the whole english market for them.

Can Freddie Roach finally get his damned just due credit around here???!!! What Freddie did with Khan is now looking like a masterpiece! Khan has looked worse under Virgil Hunter..what's that now two ex Freddie Roach fighters who've actually gotten worse with new trainers in the past two years? Amir is trying to be elusive when he's got a glass jaw..he was better suited being offensively driven as it kept his opponents worried about catching a punch themselves instead of focusing on finding his holes.

dude, i was being honest 100%. I hadn't thought about it that way. I was giving you credit for making me see it that way.

Given this is the internet, I prefer to be straight up.

I think you're right too. GB can pass the baton so to speak because its clear that Khan isn't for the long term.

I don't know which performed more poorly, Khans chin or the referee.

Well done to Diaz, he proved a lot of people wrong and put up a great fight. If only there had been some warnings for all of Khan's holding.

The funny thing about that is that Khan would have probably beat Matthyese 2 years ago. I won't count him all the way out though. Khan has always done well and looked best against smaller, shorter fighters and Matthyese is just 5'6. Diaz is pretty tall at 5'9 so he was able to touch Khan a bit more. Khan has just never adjusted to fighting taller fighters for some reason.
