Sergio looked a mess.
Not in terms of attractiveness obviously, but in terms of fighting.
Big telegraphed right hooks and jabbing/straight lefting a guard isn't going to cut it. I have no idea why he didn't utilise the straight left to the body a lot more as it landed very frequently. It simply looked like he had no ideas once his original style fell through. He couldn't even throw a short hook that might have actually hit Murray in the face, rather than a big wide thing that he easily blocks.
His athleticism usually lets him get away with it as he can make better angles with his movement. However he was always throwing from right in front of Murray who fought an excellent tactical fight and had a strong argument for winning. I am a Murray fan for sure. Catching the slower Martinez as he moved his head in and out of range towards the end there was great stuff. He had him timed at points.Comment

He pressed on the pedal tonight and I thought the tires were about to come off lol. He should be glad his chin held up when his defense didn't.i don't have a huge problem with martinez getting the decision. it was a close fight. he looked like sh#t, though. we've got to be realistic. he's 38, and has a very athletic style. he won't be on top forever.
now that he's experienced he's developed the tricks and the craftiness to survive when his athleticism lets him down, but eventually he's going to press on the pedal and nothing will be there.
golovkin knocks him out inside of eight rounds.Comment

arreola is fat as hell. he's lucky that stiverne isn't good.
he's got three rolls on each side to make up for his lack of abs.Comment

Gone down? Really?!? From what?? Sergio didn't attempt to throw a single hurtful punch all night. Terrible, embarrassing performance. He should slide completely off the P4P list based on tonight's fight.Comment
