True, but like you previously said that's a whole different deal.Plus Foreman has probably the best defense of any heavyweight out there still. And the fact He hits like a train helps.

Don't forget though, Foreman has never taken punishment like Hearns had prior to winning the title...

Foreman also had a 10 year retirement...

Hearns has had 1 fight in 6 years. Foreman had great defense... but did you see him in the Moorer fight? He was getting bombed on non-stop practically. You are correct though, I said things are different in each case. I agree that Foreman could still fight, and I agree that Hearns could still fight. I don't think he'll be able to obtain a belt, and I hope he doesn't try... but if he continues to fight mediocre opponents I'm all for it then.

it doesent get any more mediocre than fighting a middleweight who hasnt fought in 3 years at cruiserweight.

plus it should be noted, the guy who hearns is fighting has to his credit a victory over the famous-on-this-forum pro loser reggie strickland

What hurts Hearns is that although he had world class skills and a world class right hand, he has never had world class legs or a world class chin. If his chin was susceptible as a young man, I can only imagine the kind of hurt that could be laid on him now. Ring legends need to be sitting ringside with the pretty ladies and getting some props from the color commentators on TV, they don't need to be racking up medical bills.

Add into that the fact that Foreman could still speak when he came out of retirement.

"Nooow, uhh jes' whanna sey , uhm ghanna bhi teh chiampun ohf tuh wharld aghain..."

That's what Tommy Hearns sounds like. He needs to retire before he ends up worse.
