    Thomas Hearns Needs To Retire...

I was looking at his record on boxrec and realized hes fighting again on Feb. 2nd this year. Do you guys think there should be an age limit in boxing? I think Hearns is 47 now...

Wow man, why does he want to keep on fighting?
      Anyway, props to Hearns.

If he's healthy and doesn't take on anybody too spectacular I see no reason for him to stop. The guy he's fighting is like 40 years old himself and has a KO ratio of under 50%.

This is ****ing sad, when I met him at the Corrales fight(in the pic in my sig), it seemed like he was PISS DRUNK!

but it was just the aftermath of everything...

          Retire!!!

It's really sad when any sports figures don't know when to call it quits they end up tarnishing their legacy.

Wow, that is sad. I just think people past 45 shouldn't be permitted to box. He doesn't need to take anymore blows at his age. Thomas Hearns is an all time great, he has nothing more to prove.

There's something wrong with getting drunk? ****, I'm in trouble. Also, how can he tarnish his legacy? Nobody holds Ali's losses at the end of his career over his head, so why would people do it to Tommy? People are making too big a deal out of it. I'd be much more worried about Holyfield than I am about Hearns.

Ali didn't fight until he was 50 man.

All that much better for Hearns then I guess. If he was fighting often and getting knocked out I'd be all for it... but so the **** what if he wants to do it and still is a game opponent? Shouldn't we be more worried about the Arturo Gatti's of the world who might be lucky to make it to 50?

Also, that doesn't change my point. SO he fought until 40, but nobody holds his last handful of fights against him. So it wont matter for Hearns's last fights either.
