Canelo vs trout pulls 1.1 million Saturday night.

So Steve Kim just tweeted that canelo vs trout pulled in a rating of 1.1 pretty disappointing since I can remember him pulling a 1.5 on hbo not to long ago. This was by far his biggest fight and would of done big numbers on hbo anybody thinking Gbp might swallow some pride and take him back to hbo?

    But wait.... he's the future.
Maybe you're looking at his future PPV numbers against Cotto

      To put it in perspective...

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 3h
the #canelotrout fight on SHO did around 1.1 million viewers. There was a dip after the early KO and long delay before main event #boxing

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 3h
Just to clarify, that number is specifically for the portion of the broadcast that showed the fight... #canelotrout #boxing

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 3h
To put this into perspective, Canelo's audience has been 21-percent larger on HBO than his two SHO appearances... #boxing

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 3h
Again, you have to remember that HBO does have more subscribers and in the past, a bigger #boxing brand. SHO still has to make up ground...

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 3h
But Canelo's numbers are among the highest ever on Showtime( Tyson fights weren't individually tracked) and this is just the start #boxing

      Steve Kim ‏@stevemaxboxing 2h
The biggest audience that Alvarez has played to on HBO or Showtime was the 1.55 million for his fight with Ryan Rhodes(HBO) #boxing

Goes to show how much more of a pull HBO has on boxing compared to Showtime.

Great number, a 1.1 mil viewership in show time is equivalent to ~1.55 on HBO

gbp wont go back to hbo so soon. Like he said hbo has more subscribers and showtime will never be as big as hbo if you give up so fast. It takes time to grow
