Murray is a random eurobum nobody cares about, this is a disgraceful cherrypick by the so called P4P star, and it shows Martinez feels very insecure of his own capabilities coming off the surgery

Sure ya right, all he does is fight and beat undefeated guys.

Quillin, fighting a guy with a loss and only one undefeated guy in his career.

Golovkin, never fought one undefeated guy in his career.

Soliman, never fought an undefeated guy in his career.

Geale, never fought an undefeated guy in his career.

Those are all the other "top" guys at 160. If Martinez is fighting bums what and who are these other guys fighting? Out of Martinez' last 6 opponents, 4 have been undefeated. Most are all in the top 10 at middle too.....the other guys listed only have Sturm in common for the most part as their best opponent. I didn't put Barker, Macklin or Chavez up there because Sergio already beat em up. Barker and Chavez' only losses were to bum fighting Sergio.

As a fan I think this will be a very telling fight. The man is what, 38? I don't know how his knee is going to fair. If he is less mobile his career is on its last legs.

Murray being undefeated means nothing, he hasn't fought a live body in his whole career, anybody can look good with a padded record.

Sergio is a draw now thanks to the Chavez fight, he cant complain about nobody wanting to fight him anymore. Quillin, Golovkin, Geale, those are the kind of guys he should be fighting if he's supposedly the MW kingpin/P4P #4 or #5, Canelo called him out months ago, now that fight would have been huge and a career high payday for Sergio, but he didn't even respond, and now he's fighting this nobody Murray. This is extremely dissapointing from Sergio, moreso if you consider he said he will retire soon.

This is a joke match and the only reason Martinez-Murray is remotely interesting is because we dont know how much the knee surgery will affect Sergio's overall performance, who knows, perhaps the ganja kid managed to ruin Sergio's career

Lmao Geale, why is this name always thrown around like hes some threat? Hes absolutely in noway, shape or form better than Barker or Macklin and those ain't even Sergio's best wins.

Sergio would destroy Geale as would Barker & Macklin.

Geale is a very mediocre fighter with no pop and a terrible chin. Weakest link and gets mopped by any top middleweight. Let that paper champion sit in his backyard fighting old men and forget about him.

Sergio has to fight undefeated guys so that it doesn't look like a complete mismatch, even still he normally KO's them or breaks their faces (when he is fighting a cruiserweight masquerading as a middleweight).

Murray went to Sturm's backyard, beat him up and got the "German" draw. Sergio did try to fight Rosado but he turned him down and Ishida was enjoying Mai-tais at his retirement home, at least he tried to fight the "real comp", they were not interested though.

Sergio murks Canelo and will come after the Golovkin fight next after this one so make sure not to discredit him as an opponent too when that fight gets made.

Also, Sergio's knee has been messed up for like 2 years, he'll look like superman now that it's properly fixed.

Sergio schooling Jr for 11 1/2 of 12 rounds should make believers, but alas some aren't so bright... or are p.o.'d from losing a stiff bet. Either way, Sergio wins this and then moves onto a stiffer challenge. This will be a great fight to watch. Sergio deserves a big homecoming like this. I say let him enjoy the moment.

Honestly I've got a feeling Martinez will retire during this fight through some sort of injury...

Is this a unification fight? Murray is the Interim WBA Super champ, which is the legit WBA belt in case of 2 per division
