Schafer already raid its Floyds date and that the networks are behind him. I guess u know more than he does rite?

Schaefer is a business man and an investor. The bottom line is always more important to him. The bottom line of Cotto vs Canelo is better than Mayweather vs Devon.

Lol, u really are delusional. U do not know who either guy is fighting but yet u are sitting here playing internet promoter. The date is Floyds, deal with it. If he wants to fight that date, he will. No matter how much u wanna cry about it or create fantasies in your head.

He has a ton of guys he can fight, including the 140 tourney which GBP would surely shaft for Floyd
Mayweather vs Alexander is highly likely, unfortunately.

If Matthysse gets past Peterson, which I don't think he will, then Garcia-Matthysse is a fight GBP would owe the fans. That fight would take place late 2013. Khan will still be in rebuilding phase, waiting on the winner of the potential Garcia-M/P fight. The only way I can see GBP "shafting" the tourney is just that the winner of Garcia-M/P does not get to fight Khan because Khan got his ass knocked out again, or the winner of Garcia-M/P decides to "pull out" of the Khan fight citing an injury, but it was just to move up and fight Floyd all along. And that would not be plausible until 2014.

Anyway you say there are a lot of options for Floyd, there really isn't unfortunately. That is not Floyd's fault that he's so good, that worthy opponents are scarce. Alexander, Kirkland[154], Maidana-Lopez winner, Thurman, none of these guys would be seen as good opponents for Floyd, but for any other 140-147[154 for Kirkland] pounder they'd be perfect.

The only fight that would satisfy most hardcore boxing fans, not named Canelo, is Mayweather-Lara at 154.

I don't care about Floyd vs Guerrero and I care even less if he were to fight Devon and/or Danny.
Sure Canelo can fight all those guys just not on Sept 14th. Showtime is not choosing Canelo over their 250 million dollar star. No matter how much you hate Floyd and love Canelo that **** aint happening. Now Canelo better get Floyd in the ring or he better hope Floyd gives up the date.

I'll give Canelo's handlers a ton of credit, they've marketed him well and put him in a great position.

That said, I don't think a fight with Mayweather is in his best interest. Well, that is, unless there's more to Canelo than I've seen so far. What I've seen is a fighter with very good punching power (while countering)who's conditioning is somewhat suspect.

I think Canelo Alvarez could be made to look very bad against Mayweather, who will not pursue him around the ring like Trout did, giving up big opportunities for Alvarez to land big counter punches.

Also, the judges will not be in the bag for Alvarez against Mayweather. You want to beat Mayweather, you better come prepared to do some real damage or it isn't going to go your way. The judges will give Mayweather the benefit of the doubt, not Alvarez.

If Mayweather and Alvarez fought the exact same fight that Alavarez and Trout did, Mayweather wins comfortably.

I disagree. I talked about it yesterday. I think if Floyd wanted to fight literally any of those 140 pound guys then GB would shaft the tourney or switch it up.

For instance, if Garcia & Lucas both win as you say, I think Floyd can fight Garcia and Lucas can fight Khan. Who wouldnt be ok with it? The fans wouldnt care about not seeing Garcia-Lucas when a Khan fight is also great. A win over Peterson & Khan would have everyone screaming for Floyd-Garcia to fight the winner.

Lucas wouldnt care because he gets more money fighting Khan that Garcia and winning both fights would put him in line for Floyd. The only guy who may have a problem is Khan but he would get over it. He will be mad confident after beating Diaz and both him & Virgil know that a win over Lucas would basically put him back near the top of boxing
