Even if Mayweather loses to Witter, that wouldn't prove he was all hype. My God, Mayweather has proven himself. Anybody saying otherwise is a hater, plain and simple. Genaro Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo, Jesus Chavez, Corley, Mitchell, etc. You can't argue with Floyd's resume.

I would never call Mayweather all hype, but just like music, sometimes it's the 'notes' that aren't on his resume that matters most. Casamayor at 130 never happened. Mayweather hesitated to go to 135 until Moseley was gone. Now, at 140, I think that Hatton is gonna be one of those notes not played. It won't make Mayweather a pretender, but it will make him a coward.

I'm not sure Mayweather is a coward, he is a pro boxer after all. I think maybe he is just more interested in an untroubled P4P legacy and the money that brings with little (comparative) exertion. If HBO want to pay him $4 million to fight people like Sharmba Mitchell then its difficult to refuse.

Hatton vs Mayweather will hopefully happen anyway, at some point.

That statement above is such a crappy excuse as to why Witter lost to Zab, it's not like Judah had more time to prepare for a sub-in. Zab was practically in the same boat, he had no idea who Junior was either. Folks this Witter kid is crap, he has an awkward style it will present some problems whoever he fights, it will remind y'all of Hamed since they have the same coach in Ingle. But power wise he is nowhere near Naz's bombs. This p*ssy Witter literally ran from Zab like Hakkar did against Hopkins. I don't give a **** if you only had 1 day to prepare you don't ****in' run like that PERIOD Witter showed no willingness to make anything happen against Zab. He does not deserve a shot at Floyd, Hatton or a rematch with Zab. Hell he doesn't even deserve to be in the same ring as JLC or Cotto. Although he might actually beat the latter two.

yea. arum said that today sunday. he didnt say anything about witter.
i've read a lot of english posters make fun of this feather fisted guy.
and i cant tell anything from his record.
and where's the money for a may/witter? mayweather has always needed help from opponent to be ppv material.
and witter dont fit that bill.

unless may wants another stay busy fight before a big one.

Witter isn't really feather fisted, he was fairly feather fisted but worked on his power and can **** when he wants to. He does tend to coast a bit, especially recently.

So if Witter is the mandatory for his jr welter title, then the fight probably won't happen.
What the **** are you talking about? Hatton has already turned down Mayweather twice and he's the one who wants more "tune ups" before they meet if they ever meet. Witter is Mayweather's manditory for the WBC 140 lbb title. Mayweather is trying to keep himself in the mix at 140 until there can be a unification. The Judah fight fell through because Judah lost to a journeyman. Floyd's an ass, but most of this criticism is idiotic and unwarranted.

Didn't Witter drop N'Dou twice? The same N'Dou that Cotto couldn't drop?
