Wait, maybe I'm missing something, but Marquez vs Bradley is going to be on PPV? I don't see that happening. Marquez only draws if he's facing Pacman. And Bradley doesn't draw for **** at all. The Pacquiao fight couldn't even bring in 1 million buys if I recall.

The only current fighters who people would pay to see are Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, & Chavez Jr. Sergio is awesome, but most casual fans don't know who he is. I think it was mainly Chavez Jr. who drew in the big PPV buys. Cotto is past his prime now, so it would depend on who he fights if he were to draw. Broner still has a lot of work to do before he can become a PPV star.

the question is whether or not he will be more recognized after his previous endeavor - i doubt it. who knows, maybe a multitude of pac fans will watch him hoping to see him lose....other than that, he just doesn't have the persona or style that would attract the mainstream fan.

i could easily be wrong though, the f/cker did just decapitate one of boxings biggest names....

There was an article on the front page saying it was going to. I don't think they have enough money to pay them if it was on regular HBO.

Marquez is a great fighter of his own but his counter punching styles = boring to the casual fans and Mexicans. Pac even if he just been koed, people still want to see him fight and rise again. Marquez vs Bradley is a boring vs boring fight. This is how the casual fans will see it.

I think he can do a solid live gate but not big PPV numbers.

Just the same as Chavez Jr. and Canelo. IMO. chavez did 450k in his martinez fight because it has 24/7 and the fight has indeed a story. If marquez fights those fights, not the likar ramos or any other cab drivers, he would do great numbers also. this bradley fight will be a little less than a million. It has a story. Two fighters who beat pac. and besides everyone wants to see bradley lose and they believe marquez is capable of doing that. the 24/7 would be good. Not sure if the fight would really be exciting to the casuals though.

he is an excellent partner for PPV, but if he choose the right opponents im sure he'll do great on his own also.

I think he is a draw people go out to support him when he fights in Vegas and a lot of people buy his PPV fights.

Hes the mexican Antonio Tarver.... even if he knocked out the graetest of his era... he will never be too popular due to his lack of charisma and weak style of fighting. This coming from a mexican
