No Canelo-Cotto on Sept 14th? Schaefer says Floyd will fight on Sept 14th.

It doesn't matter who Floyd fights, if he's fighting on Sep 14 Top Rank moves the fight. Floyd has ton of juice in Vegas and with the cable companies, Top Rank would lose money trying to compete with him.I doubt that... Arum knows what he's doing. GB doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Floyd can only sell a sept.14 card with a Mexican opponent.
Arum has played this as well as you could play. The last time people saw Marquez was when he sent Pacquiao face first into the canvas. One of the most significant wins in Mexican boxing history. So that image is still fresh in peoples minds. No doubt Marquez's popularity sky rocketed. The Mexican fans will pay to watch Marquez fight against Bradley.
I think the only way Floyd succeeds on Sept.14 is if he fights Canelo. If he goes out there and chooses to fight Lamont Peterson or someone, he's not going to do as well. The Mexican fans make up a large portion of the PPV revenue I think Arum said they make up over 60%.
Yes Marquez has probably gotten more popular since the KO but he still isn't going to try going head to head with Floyd.
And yes Floyd would pick a good dance partner, he's not dumb and Haymon and GB ain't dumb. They ain't going to do a PPV against Peterson or Alexander.Comment

He's fighting Alvarez. Only way he doesn't is if Alvarez has some very ****** and egotistical demands, or he looks terrible vs. Guerrero and knows he'd get smashed against Alvarez because he got old.Comment

If Alvarez wants to fight Floyd, he takes what he gives him.
You don't make money demands to the 300M dollar man.
When you make more money or sell more PPV's or close too it, then you can.
Until then, Canelo's buy rate is the same as the number of people who beat Floyd.Comment
