I think that 6 fight contract was a bad mistake for mayweather.

Look at Roy Jones, dude is losing to C-d class fighters.
Exactly, Mayweather in his prime has no problem demolishing Khan, KO'ing him within 6. Mayweather today loses on points.

I wasn't referring to his boxing ability. I was referring to his ability to defy age in the ring.

Being unbeaten and retiring undefeated dont mean anything other than you got out at the right time. If you chase more challenges there is a chance you can lose, but at least people knew you tried to reach mount everest, even though some had died doing so.
Floyd isnt the most daring and ambitios so may not be willing to climb the mountain.

But if he retires soon of course he could be undefeated. If he fights six more times, with Canelo, Sergio and Pac as potential opponents maybe he wont be. Maybe Garcia will beat Floyd, even underdogs can win if given the chance. But the main part is for Floyd to regularly fight.

The real question is who cares, he already ducked the best fights

I didn't know Hopkins was undefeated, no one is saying Floyd will become a bum but he won't be elite and Hopkins is being matched to look good, if he fought Ward at 175, what you think happens?
