who actually think Cotto can be competitive with Canelo

In terms of boxing skill Cotto has Canelo beat. BUT. cotto doesn't belong at 154. He can't be the best he can at 154. He doesn't belong there. So if Canelo fought Cotto he'd most likely KO Cotto or beat him based on being the younger bigger guy. Cotto would look good at times cause of his nice jab but he can't stop Canelo from coming forward. It's all size and the fact Cotto is on the downside of his career. Big Cotto fan but that's how it is. No shame. Time to retire .

I agree but not by much anymore, the distance has been closed by Canelo. I agree with everything else though, I think Canelo knocks him out.

Pretty much this. Canelo can take a decent shot and Cotto has not really hurt a full 154 guy. Cotto looks good for a while but ultimately gets stopped Imo.
