The real question is will Canelo ever face someone as good as Manny and best them or beat and knock them out like Marquez did at his late age? Canelo isn't showing anything that gives you a spark. Mayweather and Manny had this spark early in their careers along with many others. Canelo looks above average but nothing amazing special.

Sounds a bit like the Froch and Khan situation. Froch like Marquez had to do it the hard way, whereas attention came to Khan easily as it has for Alvarez.

Let's assume this was translated as well. I think I get what Marquez is saying.

I would love to see PBF/Canelo @ 150. Then you have Devon Alexander, either would be cool for September.

Canelo hasn't done anything to get Mayweather? He's unified champion. That's enough I think, or who would be a better opponent for Mayweather in sept 14. aka Mexican independence weekend? Martinez? He has to fight on HBO and Mayweather on Showtime..

A good fight would be against Pacman in Mexico if they can make it.
After the way they jobbed Trout I wouldn't fight Canelo anywhere having to do with Texas or Mexico. Hell, throw California in there too.

Marquez has just started sounding more and more bitter as the years have passed. It's like no other mexican fighter in his book worth anything. I have yet to see Marquez praise another mexican fighter in ages. First it was Morales and then its just moved on and on and on. Listen i'd be bitter if fighting for 20 years I never saw the level of fanfare this 22 year old kid has already.

He's 22!!!! He's nowhere near his prime yet..what the hell is wrong with you people. Nothing amazing? The kid doesn't have a top world trainer either and didn't have an american styled amateur career..what do you guys expect? I'm sorry but the intangibles cannot be overlooked..Trout benefitted from a heck of a lot more preparation than Canelo did in their youth and got toyed with and schooled..this kid is a beast already and he's not even fundamentally sound yet. Put him with a brother naz and the results would be a world ender..
