The question should be "Has he done too much for the Floyd fight?" Floyd wants to fight someone who has exhibited they are sliding or are vulnerable. Cotto, past prime, Ortiz, quit in fight; Mosley; past prime; Hatton, limited and small; Baldomir; Bruseles; Corley, etc. It's all be said thousands of times.

Jokers pretend someone has to be the best of the best to get in the ring with Floyd. Fact is, you can't be too good, or Floyd don't want none. Although, Canelo's stamina could be questioned most, I think he has shown too much in other ways, with his skills and power to get the Floyd fight. Plus he's not past prime, he's still rising and he's not smaller.

So the answer is. He's shown too much. The fight won't happen. and Floyd's fans will defend it with their dying breath.

Trout was never going to win, (even though he did!!) without a knock out and if he ever had the potential to k.o Canelo he wouldn't have got the fight!!
In fact he did honestly win against Trout. And this is coming from one of Canelo's biggest critics.

Canelo earned his shot. He beat someone that beat someone that gave floyd a tough fight. On top of that remember the kid is only 22. He deserves a shot. No he didn't dominate but he won. Who the **** else does he have to beat? Give him the shot.

Lol. What will the excuse be when he beats guerrero? Its always after the fight. Yeah. Floyd picked & chose the easiest fights so he can become the biggest draw in boxing. Make sense. Fans love paying for him to fight overraged overrated fighters. In fact if guerrero loses then let's just say he wasn't that good anyway. It works out for everyone.

Is it Floyds fault that Ortiz quit?

Hmmmm.....They gave Canelo special plane seating and Trout got commercial seating in the B section. 2 judges and the referee were picked by Canelo. Trout had to come out first. Trout won fights all over the world, including Mexico. All of Canelo's fights were in Mexico. Open scoring by the hand-picked judges caused Trout to change his game plan from foot movement and fighting tall to crouching down and exchanging in the vain hope of out-punching a puncher. This fight was pre-ordained and all Canelo proved is that, like De La Hoya, he can get the girls out to watch him and his pink outfit. Even an older, more sluggish Mayweather will take out the slow-footed, short-armed Canelo in short order.
