Great read. I agree with the writer, Canelo did more than enough to get the "Money" fight. And to think, he didn't even have to beat Berto to earn it wow what's this world coming to.

Why the hell are some people still calling this guy a prospect?
He "won a belt" a couple of years ago.

And sure, not like Ortiz did as much. If Floyd was looking at Alexander, then Canelo is a viable option.
If Floyd wants to make as much, he needs to do it now before Ginger bread wants more money

did guerrero? did ortiz? cmon son, if anything he did too much, performed too well nd poses too much of a threat. we all know mayweather aint fightin canelo, lets be serious with ourselves here.

think about it this way? what has ortiz, alexander nd guerrero have done that caneloe hasnt? certainly not sellout a 38k arena nd certaintly arent wbc, wba & ring champ in a division. THINK ABOUT IT LOGICALLY, DONT LET FLOYD BRAINWASH YOU FOOLS

Lol@ Writer for acting like this fight is a foregone conclusion and is bound to happen in September. Floyd is not going to fight a guy that comes in at 170 lbs on fight night.. How bout Canelo gives Trout a rematch somewhere other then Texas? Most people I know thought Trout won anyway.

What does he have to do to earn the Floyd shot, that Ortiz and Guerrero did? Beat Berto?
Canelo can earn it by fighting a good opponent (which he just did) but WITHOUT the stage being set for him to win. After 40 something fights against no-hopers, championship belts given to him, it's time for Golden Boy to let go of his hand and let him walk on his own!! Who cared about Bradley after getting a win against Pac in the manner he won?, nobody until he made it right. Nelo needs to make it right, fight Lara or someone he may lose against, let the scoring be fair and THEN, go after Floyd.

Sorry but yes, there is NO reason for this fight not to happen, he is the biggest draw outside of Pacquiao that May can face, and maybe even bigger.
              Undefeated....Unified champ....

If you can justify going to 154 to fight Cotto for a belt you cannot excuse fighting the unified champ now. Folks will discredit this kid no matter who he wins because of who his next potential opponent may be. Most guys Trout's size aren't as agile as he is, I do believe he managed to outland because of the jab and his reach advantage. Take that away and I don't think Trout outlands him. I still think Canelo isn't even at his prime yet but if he's doing this now I can imagine what he'll become if dedicated to mixing his power with improving his boxing fundamentals.
I don't think he's good enough to fight Floyd........I'm mexican and I believe that.........if Juan Manuel Marquez was bigger I think he'd school Canelo..........Canelo is a great fighter, great defense and offense but he's still young and makes mistakes, and then when he doesn't punch for a long amount of time it seems like he's tired, his power is good but like the Mayweathers say it don't mean **** if you ain't gonna land it (something like that) but as the person I'm quoting above points out he is the #1 in the 154 why not fight Canelo the other big fighter that today is at 154? I think May lets him fight a few more fights and then fights him in maybe his 3rd or 4th fight out of the six he has left

Not only is there no Bob Arum in the way, there's also no OST in the way.
Easy fight to make, big money to make.

If Floyd can fight the likes of Ortiz and Guerrero, then damn right he can fight Canelo..And if he doesnt fight him, then who? Devon Alexander???
