If Floyd wants that mega pay day he needs to fight Canelo in September not may of next year. Canelo looked to vulnerable and he is going to struggle against the elite of the division. I think he can beat them but he does look very beatable, so an upset wouldn't surprise me. I don't think it does more than 1.6 mili PPV buys. If it was on HBO then I think it would do 1.9-2.2 but its on Showtime. Still the atmosphere would be crazy!

I hope your right, would love to see it. I think if Canelo gets on PPV this year and proves he's a draw, which he will, I think they will make it happen.
There is no Arum to keep Floyd from making this one.
It really comes down to how much does Showtime have a say in that process. If its all up to Floyd it won't happen. He will fight Khan and say he was the #2 WW at the time (complete bull****.)
If Golden Boy or Showtime have their way it will happen next year. After that Floyd would be way to old.

come on man post some semblance of the truth. its cool to hate floyd but when you have to lie and omit facts to do it its silly. everything you posted has been documented and proven false by any and every reputable media source. Considering Ellerbe was the one who enthusiastically announced that Floyd would be fighting in May and September this year I see no reason why this fight won't happen in September. If the fight doesn't happen this September, then they basically dug their own grave.

I think you underestimate the chin of him. He took mosley bombs very early and still didn't get kd'ed. Actually he's never been hurt, floored (except against zab) or looked shaken. He could have a demonic strong chin, but it's never been tested to the point where you can say that it's iron, but since otherwise haven't been proven, i believe it is a very dull statement.

The difference is Ortiz or Guerrero don't pose any actual threat to Floyd's "0". If he is going to take on Canelo, its going to be because he thinks he can break his own PPV record.
If Canelo does well on PPV Golden Boy, Showtime, and boxing fans will be pushing for the fight.
One PPV fight for Canelo and Floyd will have no choice but to consider the fight.
