How will Canelo do Against Lara?

I voted Canelo by KO. He is only 22 and will get stronger yet I think. Lara is very dangerous and just as hard to beat as Trout. He is one the best fighters at 154 and a harder fight for Canelo than anyone else including Mayweather. Canelo might have to settle for a points win because Lara is hard to hit clean and great on defense. Yes, Canelo might get beat but I am a loyal Canelo fan and have faith in him to beat everyone at 154. That's just my opinion so don't get mad.

Nahh..I think that Lara will hit him hard and clean with the straight left and them use his movement..then tag him again with another hard shot and move away in the way of the wide UD victory..

This is what conventional wisdom says given how underrated and effective Lara is and how overrated and ineffective [especially later in fights] Canelo is, but this......

THe decision would be in cuban words, "una barbiridad." I thought Trout won 115-113, or at worse 114-113 if i flipped the even round to Canelo's direction.

The scorecards clearly showed that unless Canelo was knocked out that Trout was not getting a win. I think he realized that but wanted the payday.

Boxing was going to protect the future cash cow Canelo.

From here on out, everybody that signs up with the exception of Mayweather [maybe even him, i.e. Whitaker-DLH], needs to be prepared to stop Canelo. They're aren't getting a decision unless it's at a neutral venue and is visibly obvious that he got the brakes beat off of him.

Rigo clearly outboxed and dominated nearly every round [even the 10th against Donaire] and he can only get a 116 at best?

Lara would give him a boxing lesson and then gets robbed. Canelo isn't active offensively enough to trouble Lara. Lara arguably lost[He really won that fight] against an active Paul Williams.

Similar to Trout. Lara is less active, but punches hard enough to bother Alvarez. It would be close, and probably controversial because the judges would probably decide to give Alvarez the fight halfway through it.

Great post. I figure Lara's punching would definitely make Canelo timid, but it doesn't matter, when you have a legion of stans supporting in the crowd, one right hand that's blocked stirs up a roar of cheers; Round Alvarez!

Canelo has my respect now. but only 3 people would beat him in that division , Trout (i thought he won) Floyd, and Lara. I believe canelos only shot with lara is a punchers chance, lara would use the whole ring and outbox him and most likely end up getting robbed

Lara now lives in houston though he might be considered the hometown fighter lmao i was talking to his wife last night they were at the fight and even talked to angulo and his wife.
