    The relevance of height and weight in the heavies is being way overemphasized.

    Stop crying about 'fair'. Heavyweight is upward of 200lb. There's no 215 limit. If they share a division, it's fair. If a guy's big or heavy, it's up to his opponent to use his perceived disadvantages as advantages.

        Fury is pure entertainment. He was lucky Cunningham didn't land that big right at the end of the first round when he was playing around, that would have made him look even more ******.

        I hope he keeps winning but in reality as soon as he meets a HW with power he is in serious trouble.

          Cunningham's a former cruiserweight (twice champ) and dropped Fury with a fully loaded-up, quick shot right on the button when Fury was squared up, not with some cuffing hook that made his legs crumple like twinkies under the weight of a brick.

          Not to mention that Fury stayed composed, let the count go, then got up with his legs under him, instead of getting up on spazz legs wobbling around until the ref stopped it.

          Not to mention that Fury then proceeded to fully recover, adjust and break his guy down systematically (if messily).

          Not to mention Cunningham already has a better (unofficial) heavyweight win than Thompson will ever have. Cunningham >>>>> Thompson. Fury >>>>> Price.

            Like I said in the earlier thread, he is only 24. I'll give him some time.
            As far as a bloke, I like him.

              Tys is nice. He'd be sparked RTFO by either K bro right now, his technique certainly needs work. He literally reminds me of a 70s Foreman with his delivery

                The way he throws those mid-range lead uppercuts is Foreman-like. Without Foreman-like power, though, it would be foolhardy to throw those against guys who can really crack.

                      @TheWeeblerII

                      ......a point well made about Peter Fury's absence from the big night in NYC.

                      Tyson reverted back to the red-mist, macho style of fighting that makes him hugely entertaining but also hugely vulnerable as well.

                      He was just too pumped-up and seemed to forget that Cunningham was a live opponent and would be particularly dangerous in the opening rounds.

                      Peter Fury, who really seems to have got Tyson in shape and has the strength of character to force his nephew to listen to him and box to orders, would have kept the lad far,far calmer in the last few hours before the fight and stopped the dangerous showboating, hands-low stuff.

                      Peter did not get a US Visa - presumably due to a few scapes in the past - and it was left to Clifton Mitchell to try and keep Tyson grounded.

                      A good win for Tyson; but he still needs to listen and learn and Peter Fury's very strong hand on the tiller is extremely important as well.
