When I'm sparring, a guy throwing bombs where 2-3 land is significantly easier to deal with than a guy who's throwing in bunches. I can roll with the big shots, the combinations halt movement a lot better. The guy who also throws in bunches can also set up more ways to knock you out. Just some food for thought.
those points are great but we're talking about this fight and ask trout how much easier it canelo was. halt movement , lets be honest when canelo wanted to come forward he did when he wanted to rest he did and then and only then is where trout was partially effective. lastly trout wasn't setting up anything that was hurting canelo
he better think twice before he gets in there with mayweather.
Good fight tonight but I can see Floyd licking his chops should be get past the ghost. Unlike Trout Floyd is actually accurate with his shots and has legendary Stamina. Mayweather has a purposeful jab and his footwork is still vastly superior to Trouts even at 36 years of age.
The only thing of potential concern for Floyd is the weight advantage Canelo would have on fight night but for a guy who gains nearly 20 pounds over night you have to ask yourself how good is his conditioning anyway. I'd still pay to watch and Guererro may take some of the air out of Mayweather's tires but I doubt Mayweather fights Canelo in 2013. He probably will fight a soft touch Amir Khan or Devon Alexander and face Canelo Cinco De Mayo 2014
I don't understand what people were watching. I guess the overwhelming majority of people think landing 2-3 clean punches means you can take off the other 2: 30 of the round and win it.
Even if Canelo made Trout miss a lot, he still landed jabs on Canelo often and out worked him.
Canelo's punch output is s**t and his conditioning is awful.
If Canelo only threw 2-3 punches and take the rest of the round off, why did he land only 30 less punches than Trout?
Trout and dominating don' belong in any sentence together.
Horrible scorecard, terrible break down of the fight, stopped reading half way.
Sorry you felt that way. I like Trout's consistency in the fight over the burst offense but I could see throughout where some wild swings could happen. Both men fought well. Nice part of what ended up being like nine straight hours of TV boxing. Along with Fury and the Mijares fight, what a hell of a day.
