he wasn't running. At all. That was a good fight. Both guys went backwards sometimes.

So of course now the WBC will force Canelo to drop the WBA title. Or will they?

CAnelo would obliterate Angulo...A stationary target for him to unload power combination shots on?? Please. Not even close. The reason the trout fight was so difficult is bc of the way austin was able to keep his distance & the subtle movements w/ his feet & angles...On top of his hand speed & skill....angulo would march fwd to his death. He would take a beating until he withered.

I remember thinking the fight was very close, right until I heard the official scoring and that's when it finally sank in: Trout never had a chance in hell of getting a decision. What was I thinking lol

Canelo showed some improvement (defensively), but he needs to continue fighting relevant competition in order for us to see if he can keep it going. He can't go back to fighting lackluster opposition and waiting for Floyd to fight him. He took a good first step towards cleaning out 154lb tonight, and hopefully this motivates GBP to match him tougher.

Seriously....I can't understand what people were watching. Who controlled the pace most all of the rounds, Trout. Even the round he was knocked down, he out fought Canelo the rest of the round.

Trout won this fight on activity, and controlling the pace.
He didn't win the fight "clearly", he just won the fight PERIOD.

He won based on the criteria of Ring Generalship, he knocked the other guy down. To offset that, Trout would've had to do much, much more than he did. And he didn't.

No, it's not "arguable". I bet by your standards, it's "arguable" that Trout won every round since it could've gone either way.

I think Lara has something to say about that.
