Canelo proved tonight he is what we thought he is. A bigger stronger younger fresher Miguel Cotto.

Cotto gave Floyd arguably the hardest fight of his career, Canelo would push it over the edge and give Floyd his first loss in a close decision.

Canelo's main problem was with Trout's reach, vs Floyd it wouldn't be a problem, and while he would get tagged, he will be tagging Floyd as well.

Not because of that. If Floyd can show me that he can still fight effectively off his back foot, then I'd pick him to win the fight by decision. But from what I've seen as of late, he'd be a stationary sitting duck against the ropes and Canelo is an accurate puncher and patient enough to get to his body and hurt him.

Trout weighed 171lbs on fight night, and he got rocked several times by Canelo. Trout's movement wasn't enough and he couldn't hurt Canelo. How would a stationary, back against the ropes 90% of the time in each rounds as of late, 150-pounder on fight night Floyd deal with Canelo?

Canelo will not be unscathed if he's Floyd 6th opponent. There'll be an even bigger possibility that he comes in drained, while Floyd comes in healthy. Rehydrating 20lbs is not a good sign imho.

And nobody said he was. But the fact that you acknowledged that he still isn't such a bad Boxer himself, combined with the size advantage (not in height, just in frame), and that spells trouble for Floyd.

This is the type of fight where a long-time undefeated fighter gets humbled, and 10 years from now we're talking about how he was past his prime when he lost. This wouldn't even be Canelo's career defining fight, but the beginning of it.

I don't see it. Canelo isn't even good enough to get Floyd on the ropes. He's not a pressure fighter. ****, victor Ortiz is more a pressure fighter than he is. I'm sorry but this isn't even a competitive fight

Canelo has to fall in line. Floyd has his eyes set on Alexander, Spafadora, and Berto.

By the time Canelo is up Floyd would have announced his retirement again.

I really hope that I'm wrong, but I'll bet you that we will see Floyd fight off the ropes 90% of the time in each rounds against Guerrero. Canelo can cut the ring off effectively and throws his punches sharp and accurate enough with the intent of knocking out his opponents. The days of Floyd fighting off his back foot effectively are long gone. He's a stationary, back against the ropes type of fighter of as late and it will be that way until he retires. I think he can do better than Trout did tonight, but i don't think he can beat Canelo, not with the way he's been fighting as of late.

It's actually quite the opposite. What Floyd saw tonight (if he watched the fight) is a guy who isn't just your generic, come forward pressure fighter. But a guy who can slip his punches and use his defense as well, even though his offense wasn't up to par.

Canelo will give Floyd all kinds of problems. It will go similarly to Trout-Canelo except now the height advantage is gone and you've got two equally tall fighters.
Yup, thats the way i see it too.

People are mad as hell here that Canelo showed the world he's the real deal. The Canelo era has just begun, deal with it.

i have floyd by decision...alvarez isn't busy enough his defense was good 2night but trouts hand speed and mayweathers no comparison...i like canelo but he'd have to make it tough for mayweather bell to bell..if u take a break in the middle of a round wit mayweather and play str8 defense he will pick u apart with his hand speed and find somewhere to land using faints
