    Any update on Erislandy Savon?

I was very impressed by him in the olympics and felt he easily beat Anthony Joshua, I gave him every round actually. It was a horrible robbery. He'd of won that gold medal, no doubt about it.
He made Joshua look like he had concrete pillars for feet.

I've heard nothing about or from this classy Cuban since? Any news? I wish he'd go pro, he could be a force.
That guy is what the HW division has been begging for! A bigger, faster, more agile, harder-hitting and more disciplined version of Solis.

That footwork, speed, coordination for a guy that size is not something you see everyday. I really do hope he gets a chance to go pro, I'd genuinely pick that guy to beat anybody right now in the HW division but the Klitschko's. Real talk! I feel he is that good.

Anybody who has seen that guy box can see he has tremendous talent. You just don't see guys of 6ft5, 240lbs move like that. So fluid.
His jab, defense, timing, hand speed, balance/coordination, counterpunching. He looks really seasoned.

Yeah he looked very good. Most impressive boxer i saw at the Olympics IMO.

Doubt he'll defect though given who his uncle is.

I want to know what's up with Roniel Iglesias? He's the Cuban light welter that won bronze in Beijing and gold in London. I'd love to see him fight professionally, and I've been a fan forever.

Savon lost to Yoandris Toirac at 2012 Cuban Nationals after the Olympics in December. He looked great in schooling Joshua but don't get carried away. He isn't 240lbs he's actually kind of skinny and he was dropped 3 times with headgear and stopped against Medzhidov at the World Championships the year before so his chin is a bit shaky.

Had he rightfully been awarded the Joshua fight i probably would have favored both the opponents he would have faced in Dychko and Cammarelle. Dychko is 6'9 even more mobile, athletic and agile than Savon is and Cammarelle presents similar difficulties that Medzhidov does only he's a southpaw and a excellent counterpuncher.
