Always enjoy the write ups before the fights Cliff. And im in agreement with you on this one almost to the t. I have concerns of Trout fighting too offensively knowing he cant win on the cards and getting caught, but we will see how it all plays out in a few hours.

I honestly see this being a beat down for Canelo.
Trout isn't as slick as people think he is, and he doesn't have the power to gain Canelo's respect or to keep him off of him.
Trout also is lazy with the jab and leaves it out there way to long. Canelo is going to be utilizing this flaw to tag the body all night. Expect Trout to be pissing blood tomorrow.Comment

Its actually quite easy. Trout isn't very mobile, and its easy to get inside on him, Cotto was doing it all night, he just didn't have the size or power at the weight to make the inside work to his advantage.Comment

It's always like that. Young champion fights overly matched opponents and looks dominate and like a new fighter extraordinaire but the minute he is in their with a fighter his equal or tad bit more skilled then they lose. This is a good fight for both Canelo and Trout. Winner should get all credit.Comment

I'm a Trout fan, but he does not have an A- defense (more like B/B+) and neither does Canelo have A- power (more like B/B+).
I would have them like this:
Speed: Trout B+; Canelo B
Power: Trout B; Canelo B+
Defense: Trout B+; Canelo B-
Intangibles: Trout A; Canelo A (Texas refereeing)Last edited by BafanaBafana; 04-20-2013, 04:06 PM.Comment
