Good point, but if canelo wrestles trout to the ground, the ref will call it a knockdown. there is a reason why GBP picked Texas for this fight instead of Las vegas.

You know this sport is ****ed when this article is written, and this discussion is taking place.

If boxing was a REAL, regulated sport; sanctioned by one authority that oversees testing, officiating, judging, we would never have to talk about this.

Fighters' careers and personal lives are effected directly by these poor decisions. There's not many things that could happen in professional sports worse than a bad decision in boxing. Then to make matters worse, it gets entirely swept under the rug and after a few weeks of outcry you move on until the next time it happens. You could become an afterthought in the blink of an eye.

If this is a 7-5 fight for Trout and it goes to Canelo, where will his career head? I'd be terrified of that.


I think the writers are doing a good job at getting this info out there in anticipation of something like this happening to any fighter, doesn't have to be the house fighter like Pac/Bradley.

Hopefully Texas recognizes its perception by the boxing world and gets it right tonight.

Cole is a WBC ref. ..His old man is TX commish, has been in bed with SulIMn mNY YEARS...Danesco a wbc judge, donīt know the 3rd judge.Christandulu is on the WBA board of governors so I do not understand how he can even officiate, but that is WBA, years back he was a good ref...Trout really has the deck stacked vs him...mayb, as in a few bouts, Alvarez willl lose concentration, but Trout neEds 2b wary in the 1st 5 rounds...SHOULD B INTERESTING...
