Perhaps Haye will fight Charr since Wawrzyk isn't available?

Or will he go for somebody worse like WBA-ranked Travis Kaufman?

I'm sure Adam Boothe ruled Charr out as a possibility so I'll have to expect even worse tbh
I just have no faith in Mr Haye fighting anybody with a pulse.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Haye fought Audley again should he shock Wilder.

It's a good fight, I'm a little surprised Pulev wants it considering that even if you don't like Haye its a big risk for Pulev who's in line for a title shot anyway

Is Hayes level of competition that bad?

Barrett- first fight at heavyweight, decent journeyman = acceptable
            Valuev- title holder = acceptable
            Ruiz - mandatory = acceptable
            Fraudley = unacceptable
Wlad = dunno is he acceptable?
Chisora - decent contender = acceptable

So imo he's had one unacceptable fight. People make out like he's only fought bums when in fact other than Audley none of those guys are that bad.

Compare it to Povetkin last 5 opponents and suddenly Hayes opposition looks quite good

Where the hell was Kubrat Pulev when David Haye was dominating at 21?

I thought Wawrzyk is fighting Povetkin?
Anyway... Charr is a horrible choice of the three.

Barrett - old and faded age 38

Valuev: slow and plodding, should have lost to Larry Donald and the aged Evander Holyfield. Lost more clearly to Chagaev - old "Sugar Nick" admits he lost to Chagaev but says he was robbed against Haye. He's feather-fisted but Haye ran 99% of the fight

Ruiz: old and faded age 38, Haye used illegal rabbit punches to stop him

                  Fraudley: unacceptable

Wladimir: Haye made 12.5 million Euros but ran 12 rounds and lost by WIDE decision.

Chisora: faded after coming off three losses to super-heavyweights (Haye himself called Chisora a "three loss loser")

So imo he's had one unacceptable fight.

Barrett - Nearly 40 but acceptable considering it was his first fight at HW
Valuev - Nearly 40 coming off a pasting against a 48yr old Holyfield but had a world title so acceptable.
Ruiz - Again another 40yr old who'd lost most of his last fights. Acceptable because it was his mandatory but he ducked Chagaev when he was.
Fraudley - Again another 40 yr old, joke of a fight, completely unacceptable.
Wladimir - Perfectly acceptable though he stunk the arena out with an embarrassing performance.
Chisora - Lost 3 of his last 4 (2/4 if you count the gift Helenius received) but perfectly acceptable mainly because the rivalry.

I think his HW run has been a bit of a joke myself but I give him credit, he can sure sell a fight no matter how bad his opponent is.

Hes had 6 fights at HW, 4 have been 40, 1 a fringe contender/domestic level nutjob who keeps getting opportunities. Be nice to see him fight a solid, world class operator in their prime like Pulev for once. He'd certainly get credit from me win or lose if he did.
