don't be narrow minded. the first 5 rounds floyd had 4-1, the last 7 were tight, with castillo getting a 2 pointer and floyd getting a 9-9 round

Anyway it's hardly surprising, hardly ever fights and when he does its not against the best. Used to book a Mayweather fight weekend of work, but I don't anymore! Same old crap against average opponents.
Average opponents?? Who does he fight?? Everybody looks average against Floyd!

Yeah right, blah blah blah, 43 tried, no blueprint, greatest ever... did I miss anything? What a broken record. I'm wondering if he developed that trait from being a woman beating thug? No matter. I guess when you cherry pick opponents, slide some duckies under the table to Cortez... sure why not? Anyone besides me notice Floydie is now executive producer of the Inside series now? Talk about a showcase for a gaudy display of wealth.

Guerrero has a good chance of upsetting the apple cart, or at the very least busting Floydie up badly. I'll gladly take either scenario.

When u have a blueprint to something it meands its gonna work every time against that person.....hence jmm counter punching against PAC ...... Vernon Forrest jab against Mosley..... Those are blueprints.....if Castillo laid a blueprint why did anybody else by use that same blueprint against Floyd??

Because very few fighters are as good at pressure fighting in recent memory as Castillo. Having a gameplan isn't enough, you have to have the skills to carry that gameplan out.

The same way Pac isn't going to lose to just any counter puncher. You have to have the skills, like Marquez did.

Ok so why did he not win in the rematch then? He had the blueprint and was same fighter right??

castillo didnt beat floyd. even if u thought he did, there are many on both sides of the argument. it was a close fight. could have easily been a draw or gone to either man. and then, mayweather beat him in the rematch. not saying floyd is unbeatable, but using the castillo fights are indicative of a blueprint that has beaten him. given him trouble? yes. beaten him? no.

the castillo blueprint is the best bet. really the oscar blueprint was almost the same as castillo's but oscar faded late. it will take a combination of size and a good jab to beat floyd, castillo's jab was very underrated he would throw everything coming off of the jab. he was a helluva fighter with good head movement too....i dont think anyone is capable of doing that.

I think you just have to separate the credible posters from the trolls on this. I dont think Castillo won the 1st fight. I think his style coupled with floyds injury made the fight very close. But you knw that there are certain posters who have never seen the fight and just repeat what they read because hey-its anti floyd. Bojangles isnt one of those posters.

In the end they rematched and floyd won 10 or 11 rounds. So in a nutshell floyd fought the best LW in the world in his 1st fight at the weight-a fighter this site has as one of the 25 best champions ever at the weight-won (or lost)a very close fight than dominated in the rematch.

SO lets say floyd is 42-1. He would argue he won the Castillo fight and was robbed. So would he change his "no blueprint" mantra? Of course not. Does it make him not a 1st ballot HOF'er? No. Would it make writers/media not vote him p4p#1? I doubt it but maybe?

It really isn't a big deal Frank. Let them have it.
