Ha yah he got you there... Sugar Shane is a solid fighter and hasnt ever been stopped. If he ever does it will be the same as Ali vs Berbick situ, just taking fights he has no right taking at too old of an age.

So because a few fights fell through.....he shouldn't have fought someone better like Lara, Trout, Molina, or even Bundrage???
100% agree. Mosley one of my fav fighters ever and when i heard about the Canelo match i was because all i could see happening was an old Mosley getting stopped in a fight he had no business taking. But to my surprise Ol'Red wasn't up to the task. I was convinced he'd at least force a ref stoppage or a corner throwing in the towel... but nope, he just won.

Only problem with that is Chef Canelo will be cranking up the gas as he cooks the trout for dinner. So, outside of a little flopping around late rounds, Trout is cooked... well done... finished.... served with kokktail sauce. HA

Canelo is going to have to pick up his ears up off the canvas after Trout boxes them off.

I can't help but think Trout is going to expose Canelo this weekend. If Canelo wins for real though, he's the real deal.
My thoughts exactly. Although I'm a big Canelo fan, I see him losing this fight.

He will land those counter shots not to mention trout likes to **** . Which will be his downfall especially if he "steps on the gas" . You're not gonn out **** canelo . period
Canelo doesnt move much, that is one area where Cotto was a bigger challenge. Canelo is also prone to gassing later in the fight, especially against Trout who has a formidable straight left to the body. Cotto was affected harshly by that.

If Trout notices Canelo is gassing out, and beginning to fade late, I don't see why Trout can't trade with him. Trout has good movement so I can see him getting the best out of it. Trout isn't no KO machine, but he isn't feather fisted.

Canelo better work on his movement or Trout offers serious problems for his style

Trout should learn from Rigondo... just run and potshot and win... hopefully GBP don't pay off the judges

The ref will also play a role in this fight like any other. Cotto was unable to fight on the inside because the ref kept breaking at the slightest clinch. In my view, the ref should wait at least fifteen to thirty seconds. Many times the offender is penalized for holding by the opponent himself, ie, Berto/Guerrero. Let them deal with the consequence. Run, hit, hold, ref breaks. Runner gets the advantage. Inside fight is impossible.

Sure this will be probably the most effective way to win the bout, but you also have to remember that Trout really doesn't attract a big fan base. Fight this boring style fight will do him no good. He doesn't have the popularity Rigo has and we all know that selling tickets gives fighters a lot of power.

I think Trout will have to box, but be smart and try to get in as many power shots off and disappear and not potshot and run. Make it exciting and convincing. IMHO I think Canelo has too much ring smarts, awesome 2-3 punch combos, power and ring generalship for Trout to win. He cuts off the ring well too. But we will just have to wait and see! Can't wait.

are you admitting Canelo has a built in advantage based on popularity? If you are I agree. I think it's bu!!siht, but I agree
