This sounds like something I might've written, bro. I felt the same exact way. I've been watching Rigo for years, any time I had a chance. I regarded him as the greatest boxing talent Cuba had, even though I was more a fan of Gamboa. Guillermo swept away all my concerns. He is not as good as I thought he was. He's better. "El Chacal" is awesome...and he's just getting started.

Rigondeaux had to prove it to me before I could call him great. But he answered all the questions I had about him and then some.
You rarely see a top P4P fighter get dominated the way Donaire did. It's a shame that so many people are downplaying the victory and calling it boring. Even Rigo's own promoter is saying it which is disgraceful.
To my eyes he put on a clinic and it was actually quite exciting to see.Comment

This myth that Dan Rafael, Keith Iole and some fringe lunatics are trying to pedal post fight that Rigo was on his bike and ran all night is just that - a myth. I've just watched the fight again and stopwatched it every time Rigo backpedaled or circled out of range - 7 minutes and that's being generous.Comment

I just going to assume you are new to boxing, just because you get KD doesn't meant you are not a good defensive fighter, 1 knockdown = 1 punch, by the way he caught Rigondeaux straight up coming out of a clinch, it was somehow a cheap shot...Comment

rigo won the tenth decisively after the kd? come on man, without the kd i'd still give donaire that round, rigo landed what? 3 punches? plus i suppose the jab that he traded with a donaire left hook right at the beggining of the round, donaire landed alot of big shots, he wasn't as flashy about it but he landed a good number, that round is what convinced me of rigo's chin being damn solid because he was not phased in the slightestComment
