Lateral movement is not running, Rigo was in the pocket for the vast majority of the fight. When it was toe to toe Rigo got the better of the exchanges. The only "true running" in the fight was from Donaire in the 12th after he hurt his eye.
Did it ever occur to you that the booos in the crowd came from the same people who were shouting "NONITO!NONITO!NONITO!" during the first few rounds.Comment

Cult member since Marroquin fight
I saw Rigondeaux for the first time against Marroquin and I was impressed at how hard he was to hit, when the Donaire fight was announced I watched as many fights that i could find and i knew this guy was something really really special, haters say what you want buy this guy is a hall of famer with only 12 fights and he's gonna be around for a long time, don't matter if he's 32, he's fresh and doesn't get hit a lot and in amazing shape, unless he doesn't want to keep going he's gonna be around for a while, cult members please stand up

I'll admit I was on the bandwagon, but nowhere near being part of the cult. I appreciated the skill , but underestimated just how high level it was. That's "once in a generation" level boxing ability.Comment

I've been aware of Rigo since before he won his first gold medal. I've followed him as much as I could since then. I've known Guillermo is a special talent for a long time, but it remained to be seen if he could effectively transition to the pros at such a late age. I'm beyond pleased to see that "El Chacal" is at least as good as I always thought he was. He's great!Comment
