Butt hurt Flowmo. Don't feel threatened. Rigo doesn't have as many fans, so you Flowmos will always out voice the Rigo fans.

Typical under rating of Donaire, once the Floyd equation kicks in.

Of course he needs more good wins to become a future ATG, but we have to admit that he's really good. The guy's been blessed with massive skills, speed, power and reflexes.

The Donaire beating was really amazing, we can't take that from him, but he has the potential to do a lot more. If he keeps fighting like this then the sky's the limit for him.

Only a week or two ago a lot of people on these forums were arguing that Donaire should be #1P4P on the basis of his activity and recent level of opposition. Now, Rigo beats said opponent on a near shutout and all of a sudden all these Floyd fans jump out to try and diminish Rigo's win.

          Exactly.

Except this response, "No one said that!!!" "Everyone said he was #5!"

You are right... almighty Gatti and Barrera were leagues past the quality of Donaire.

So Rigo and Floyd do have alot in commen? Hahaha. But no seriously I never down plaited the win. But I was very disappointed in Donaire. That was the kind of performance that makes a person question whether Donaire has already peaked as a fighter. Donaires always been the rock star type. Is he really hungry anymore? Like I said before it was a good win and great display of boxing from Rigo. But I want to see how Donaire comes back to meassure how big of a win, especially if Donaire has shoulder surgery.

There are two sides of the coin. I also remember Rigo fans branding Donaire as unworthy to even be put in the p4p and a bob arum hype job. After the the fight suddenly Rigo beat a prime p4p #5 fighter.

Regardless Rigo did what he needed to do. Props to him.

Here's the crazy part: Rigo is only getting better. He hadn't fought anything above a decent fighter before schooling a top five P4P champion. As awesome as "El Chacal" is, he's still learning the professional ropes. The only thing that might stand in the way of Guillermo's ultimate greatness is Father Time. Rigo is 32. From where I'm standing, fans better get used to Guillermo Rigondeaux as a top fighter for at least a couple more years.
naah .. riog is excellent boxer but "styles make fights" and we still have to see him perform againts fighters with diferrent styles, pressure fighters for example ...in which we have seen good technical fighters get beat or struggle againts floyd vs castillo , lara vs molina , ali vs frazier , etc ...

i have seen those posts you're referring to...
also ive seen posters giving argument about donaire being PfP#1.

key word arguing, it means its not a general accepted idea that donaire is indeed #1.

any way TS have some good points and some i disagree with, Donaire not daring to be great for instance,

he took on rigo who may be an up and comer but a crafty catfish nonetheless.. big risk low reward type of opponent.

so for those downplaying donaires career before the rigo fight, they're actually unintentionally degrading the magnitude of rigos win over him.
