Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Mikey Garcia at 126: who would win?

This would be an interesting matchup. Garcia says he wants the fight, and Top Rank could make this fight if they want.

After what I saw the other night, I don't think there is anybody from 118 to 126 who can beat Rigondeaux. Pure genius

i was just contemplating the possibility of this one going down myself, ace. this is probably the fight bob arum is thinking about for down the road. it will allow him to capitalize on rigo's momentum with a fighter who can actually make him some dough (a mexican american with a big punch who is a great finisher.)

i'm not sure who i'd pick, to be honest. you'd hope garcia would take rigondeaux seriously this time around, or his kid brother may catch a beating.

I like it. I think Garcia would have the same issues as Donaire in that Rigo's defense won't let him get off.
        Rigo by UD.

Big Dunn is firmly on the Mikey Garcia bandwagon. That said I dont know how he'd beat the Rigo I saw Saturday night. Maybe Garcia learned something and Mikey surely wont just look for one sho like Nonito did.

I'll be rooting hard for Mikey should they fight. I don't know who will win but if they fought today, as of this post, I'll say Rigo by UD.

Wow. Amazing what a near-flawless win over a top 5 P4P fighter will do for your rep. lol Before Donaire, people would have laughed at Rigondeaux-Garcia. Now people are actually thinking it would be a great match-up, even favoring Guillermo. lol Frankly, I think "El Chacal" is too small for 126. He's a superman, but he's not "Superman." Anyway, whatever Guillermo thinks he can do, who am I to argue?

Mikey doesn't throw enough punches and we never seen Mikey fight a rough kind of fight to get Rigondo out of his groove.

                I'd love to see it.

I'd favour Rigondeaux to be honest.

even though garcia is a beast, in his prime, and a much bigger guy, if you held a gun to my head and made me pick, i'd take rigo to beat him on points.

                    Agreed!

Hyde said after the fight that they don't plan on moving to 126 anytime soon. If this fight happens, Mikey would have to come down.
