Clearly He wasn't Watching then. That was a superfight. Corrales barely lost rounds until Floyd and was stopping everyone.

Yeah, he was looking like a god against the mighty John Brown and Derrick Gainer.

And I don't think the purpose of this thread was to compare achievements at the pro level. I think it was intended to compare the technical aspects of how they box. Comments like "Donaire is better than anybody Floyd has faced so therefore Rigo" are ridiculous but others have made some very good points that should not be dismissed automatically.

Freddie Roach and Ronnie Shields said he was the most technically skilled fighter they had ever seen. Are they Rigotards/trolls?

I voted Mayweather personally, but I have no problem with this thread. I think it could have been some very good back and forth conversation but the trolling and close-mindedness killed it.
Vote for PBP! You are a very sound poster my friend.

Looked No worse than Nonito against Wilfredo and Jeffry ROFL. ancient Jorge was able to stop Wildredo

          • I like both boxers, but you gotta go with Floyd. Rigo did a lot of things i didnt know he could do, but i see that in Floyd almost every fights. His adaptation is ridiculous, in terms of defense Its equal in a way but floyds never been officially knocked down from a punch. Floyd can use his right and left in all ways, uppercuts, leads, hooks , so i gotta give it to Floyd

Yeah, because he had done absoutely nothing in his career up until that point, and hadnt been a multiple weight champion for the last 6 years or so. Christ on a ****ing bike!

Officially or not, he did the stanky leg against a past prime Mosley, and should've gotten a KD against Zab.

Debates like this are not fair game when he has only beaten one very good fighter. Let's see how he fairs against other good fighters first. We have the luxery of seeing him actually face more pro competition. He has the potential to be better than Floyd sure...

Some people in here already comparing him to top 20 guys like Hopkins and Mayweather is pretty crazy. As good as Donaire was (A HOF most likely) he had been feasting on guys who were suited for his style. We'll see what happens when Rigo fights a guy who can take his best shots and keep on coming. A guy who will get inside and mix it up and get rough with him.
Hate to break it to you, but most wear and tear happens in the gym through thousands of rounds of sparring.

                  • Rigo is light years ahead of Floyd and I'm not even a Rigo fan

Montiel and Nish were good wins and so was Vic. You're the one doing the detracting here.

And you still can't answer who should have been in Chico's place instead.
