I wouldn't say he is better than Mayweather, but he is better than Broner and Ward.

A discussion on GGG v Rigo on these forums could possible create a black hole which would consume the universe.

The hype of GGG and new cult of Rigo as a fighting god would surely end us all.

Great win for Rigo, but seriously? Rigo was a better amateur, but it takes more than beating Donaire to take over the no.1 or no.2 p4p in the sport.

as far as ppl thinking rigo is better, its the usual crap that goes on around here. a fighter gets an amazing win and everyone goes crazy. i dont know how anyone can call rigo a better boxer than floyd at this point. hes had some tough fights in the past against guys that werent very good. rigo is exceptional, i just dont think hes as versatile as floyd who could literally do it all except power

          Lets be realistic, guys.
Yeah, it's an absurd comparison. We haven't even seen Rigo in with a highly aggressive pressure fighter/mauler. We havent seen him in with another pure boxer.....

He's had 12 fights guys and this is his first elite level fight. He's got years and years and years of fighting left to do against many different styles. He still has a lot of proving left to do. This went a very, very long way to proving his skill as a pro, but he's not remotely near Floyd's league yet.

Floyd had power in the lower weight. Its that Floyd moved up to 5 weight class and currently fighting in his 4th. I doubt Rigo could move up to 135 and keep that same power.

Mayweather has shown so much more, fought so many different ways and looked brilliant. It's disrespectful as hell to say Rigondeaux is better. He hasn't shown that.

Apparently when you beat Donaire, you've equaled Duran over Leonard, Whitaker over Chavez.

It's apparently the most momumental win in the last 25 years.

                I'm not making this up

Meanwhile Rigo has stopped the vast majority of his opponents (8/12) and Donaire is the first and only one he hasn't dropped.

                    no contest!! Rigo got this!
Rigo was in the amateur for how long and got gold twice.

Floyd got robbed in the olympic which is a fact. Add the fact he was 19 when he went to the Olympic.

Also Floyd dominated Marquez which is after him knocking out pacquaio ended up being a good win. There is a reason why Marquez is not calling out Floyd even though he is more comfortable at 147. Floyd will always beat any version Marquez because he is far superior fighting the outside and Marquez would get pot shifted because he Dont have any head movement.

Floyd could dominate inside, outside, and mid range. And Floyd so good that people dont give him any credit of wins.

The aim of a fight isn't too avoid being knocked down but to win.
