Cool, cool....look at Donaire's face today and look at Rigo's face. Rigo wasn't the one making up excuses post-fight, it was Donaire and he couldn't even say it with a straight face. Rigo threw less, landed more, and came pretty close to stopping Donaire at one point.

These phags don't know shizz about the sweet science, they just know making money and TV ratings. Let Iole get in there with Rigo, lace up a pair of gloves and say that stuff to the man's face.

This guy isn't really a boxing expert he's just a guy who writes about boxing sometimes.
He's watching the fight at home listening to the biased commentary so of course he feels like he does.
It's getting so bad I feel like they should just do away with commentary during fights or only have trainers or boxers on the panel.

The fight needed Donaire to be on top of his game, in top condition and ready to be agressive throughout the fight!! He didn't do it and its not because of Rigo!! Donaire was flat and uninspired and then when he realized he needed to be 100% against a well schooled boxer it was to late!!!
You need to understand that the fight could only be successfull if Donaire brought it!! Rigo is not going to take chances and will run away literially at times to avoid confrontation and thats why he won't ever be a fan favorite!
He doesn't need to be super agressive but he needs to take the center of the ring more often and use his hand speed to control his opponent and use his foot speed less! Great boxer who won't mix it up don't get the big pay outs. Mayweather is much more active with his hands and he gets critized for lack of offense!!! I think Rigo could do more but he is set in his ways thats why trainers have come & gone!!! They know he could only go so far with his style as far as pay outs!!! Why waste your time with a high skilled boxer who refuses to accept the challenge to mix it up more often than he does!! Ray.

Obviously Arum wouldn't give him his expected tip to say something nice. Think of the amount of news we take for granted from Iole, I don't know why anybody trusts him. He's clearly been shown up as a UFC stooge at this stage.

BTW he's already trying to dismiss the China TV ratings without citing an actual source. Iole is trying to tell us that he has unlimited access to China's TV ratings even though every media journalist on the planet has been falling over each other trying to get their hands on them?

Pretty harsh on Rigo and laughably generous on his score card for Donaire, Rigo nearly shut out and dominated an excellent fighter in Donaire with such masterful skill and guile. Not every fighter or fight is going to be like Rios/Alvarado.

Don't care about the rest of the article but i Iole is saying that flat out, Rigo's style is hard to sell to the public.

If you can't appreciate what Rigo did than you can't accept a Pernell Whitaker.

The fight was dull at times, but it didn't amount to Rigo being reduced to a loser as Iole claims.

I don't agree with his score, in fact I think it's outlandish, as I had Rigo winning 10 rounds, but I certainly agree with the sentiments of the article. Rigondeuax just beat one of the best fighters in the world and he did so with ease. He should be a superstar, about to make millions of dollars and the world in front of him.

He is not. He'll never make as much as money again as he did on Saturday and the TV companies will be in no hurry to put him back on air, certainly not as a headliner. That's without mentioning the 6,000 people who were there who are unlikely to pay to see him. Actually there were probably 1.2m watching and very, very few of them will be willing to part with cash to watch him. And who the hell would want to fight him, now?

Shit, even Rigo's promoter concedes all of this. The guy who makes money of the success of his fighter is openly saying all of this. Rigondeaux hurt himself badly on Saturday and without a fanbase, he could be fucked, but we will see.

How in the hell did Iole and Rafael give Donarie 5 rounds? Seriously? Then again, Fat Dan is the one who though Alexander legitimately beat Matthysse. 116-111 for Rigo all three times I've watched. Everyone keeps saying Rigo just kept moving and not punching, Donaire didn't punch very much either and he barely landed. When Rigo hit, it was clear to the back row of the arena. Rigo clearly won this fight, embarrassed a P4P fighter, and the amount of disrespect he is getting off a win hardly anybody picked him to win is WRONG.
