    Hopkins is a bad idea.

Believe it or not, I like the idea of Tyson. He is very articulate as it relates to boxing and Boxing history....and oh how I would love to see Tyson's response to one of Merchant's...Shakespeare references

    What about Boom-Boom Mancini?

A commentator's job isn't to know history, it's to keep people entertained....Mike does NOT have the charisma to do that...

Tyson would be very entertaining, I would be anticipating the next words out of his mouth all night.

Jones was let go because he was unreliable. If that's the case, Tyson wouldn't have a prayer of holding the job down. He's inconsistant and unreliable.

We need a commentator that can make intelligent remarks about the fight that is going on in front of them, Tyson is good to interview, not to have as a commentator..

All of them bring different things to the table. Its as simple as that.

In Mike, you have a whole career of ups and downs, plenty of experiences with different trainers and different fighters. Plenty of stories to be told and plenty of stuff to be learned (by the average boxing fan).

In Roy Jones and B-Hop, you have a whole new set of stuff.

Either way, they will all make it exciting i suspect, and no doubt, having a boxer as a commentator is going to do something for the ratings...

I understand what you are saying, but I don't see anyone that fits that mold. Actually..I think the three man booth sucks.

I prefer the old days of Ryan/Clancy and Lampley/Wallau.

If I have to have a three man show, I want to be entertained..not enlightened by a third guy. Or a guy that insists on talking about themselves instead of what is going on in the ring. Jones' ego irritated me. Hopkins would be the same way. I'm the hugest Hagler fan in the entire world, but he was horrible as a commentator becuase he always referred to himself or how a topic would relate to him.

If we have to have a three man team..I'll agree as long as it's Lampley,Hearns and Barkley
