Bernard Hopkins wants Roy Jones' commentating job.

It has been reported from phillynews.com that Bernard wants Roy's job as commentator. Does anyone think Bernard will do a good job as a HBO commentator? I am not quite sure how well he will do because from many press conference interviews I have seen, he tends to stutter a little bit and also use bad grammar.

no way, if anyone remembers him talking about dimitrious hopkins not to long ago they'll know why.

The man rambled on and on and on and basically all he did was repeat himself.

Well, he's definitely a presonality, knows how to talk some, but more importantly knows boxing. I think they could give it a shot.

The role of the boxer on the commentary team doesn't need to be filled by someone who's going to speak with regard to perfect grammar.

Hopkins, despite his poor vocab, is an astute guy, and knows the sport inside out. He knows what he's talking about, and all the slang aside, he gets his point across.

I'd love to see him in that role, and back when RJJ was let go, I suggested I'd like to see Hopkins step in.
