    1 Mayweather
    2 Omar Narvaez
    3 Odlanier Solis
    4 Ward
    5 Rigo

in pure technic I think that this is the order, but Rigo is the more athletic in the list and that is and advange for the eyes

I like Gary Russell Jr. I'm just waiting to see what he looks like once he steps up his level of competition. He has all the physical gifts to become one of the greats.

Rigo beating Doanire doesnt make him the best in the game :WORD: But he is a good tech in the ring. He needs to stay on his feet though. On day he wont get up from a flush shot. So in no way is the BEST tech gonna get sent to the canvas as much as he has. 12-0 beating of the best P4P is pretty impressive. He still has a way to go. And so far...hes looking good!

Right, rigo beat a top boxer-puncher(likes to jab, is defensively sound etc but loads up too much) in donaire, he still has some other styles that could pose a problem and expose something

It's criminal B-hop was not included in the poll. But I predicted Rigo would win against Donaire and now not surprisingly everyone is on the wagon. People are answering this poll with their memory fresh from a Rigo boxing lesson. I believe he has the best footwork in the game but it is clear to me he does not possess as much variety in his work as say a Mayweather or B-hop or Ward. His boxing ability is much more basic than these guys, he uses his speed and super footing to get his shots off first/counter and move, I have not yet seen an inside game like the other guys mentioned and I think it is safe to say that he has a much more "amateur" style than the other guys. Don't get me wrong I think Rigo is super special but his amateur background has given him a much less rounded style.
So in summary, fantastic performance last night but one display of sticking to a gameplan does not constitute being the best technician in the game. Floyd/Ward/B-hop have all displayed different aspects of their games many times over. Floyd has changed his style 5 or 6 times. He can fight in the pocket in a phone booth, he can hit and move, potshot, walk you down, fight mid range etc... we have seen it all.... we have yet to see that variety from Rigo so let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I don't know bro. You really aren't gonna get anymore elite than Donaire. In fact I'd go as far as to say that Rigo's schooling of Donaire is probably the single greatest win of the three.

Yeah, I mean the guy barely gets touched and won his last fight with a broken hand....he is still young and has to develop more but he is very, very impressive. Of the guys on the list....Ward's been down, Mayweather's touched the canvas in the Judah fight and would have been dropped in the Mosley fight but he held on for dear life, Rigo's been down.

Both Floyd and Ward tie up a great deal on the inside while Rigo uses much more movement than they do. I'd say from a boxing standpoint, Rigo uses more boxing skills to win fights, Floyd and Ward have both used "questionable" tactics to win in some cases, i.e, rabbit punching, elbows to the face, etc.

Of course one could argue that those are just veteran tactics of the game and I couldn't say they aren't but for argument's sake, Rigo, to me uses traditional boxing fundamentals more so than the others do.

ofcourse not .. you said rigo needs to fight more elite as if nonito was'nt as elite as you can get compared to ward or floyd's best wins...

your thread is about who's the best technician right now , not who has the best career..

Ward isn't so much an Olympic-style technician as he is a crafty inside fighter in the vein of a young Bernard Hopkins. Mayweather is still #1 in terms of technique, but Rigondeaux just punched his ticket for #2 with that win.
