Ok I just watched the video and i don't think that Lou "exploded" at all! He was specific in his answers and he spoke with conviction and passion. The guy is doing exactly what he should be doing.....his JOB as a promoter. I agree with every word he said.
I also think that we all can agree that GGG is a serious threat to Sergio.

I like both fighters, but there is certainly a level of fear from the Martinez side.

The idea is that 3G has a lot of hype behind him amongst hardcore types but the public doesn't know much about him. With another couple of HBO headlines under his belt, this is the kind of fight that can be a PPV and do mega numbers, not just a regular HBO event.

It is already being looked at as THE FIGHT at 160 but why waste it's earning potential on a regular HBO event when it could be a big PPV?

What I see Di Bella suggesting in this video is that Martinez could fight GGG, if and when GGG beats Macklin (not sure why everyone is ignoring this) and that fighting GGG before he's ripe is bad business. As far as I'm concerned, the fight will happen either this year or early 2014, so I don't know what the lot of you are complaining about.
I may be wrong but I would assume that Sergio is pretty popular in Argentina, and it is also his first fight in his home country as a champion. He also hasn't fought there in 12 years. Those facts tell me that even if he fought Bozo the Clown it would sell out and get just as much coverage as Murray. And that doesn't even take into account that a fight with GGG would be a unification fight. That alone is more than anything that Murray brings to the table.

However, I possibly may be reading to much into it and Sergio and his team just wanted an easy win for his return to his homeland. Because even though GGG is untested in my opinion, he is most definitely more dangerous than the light hitting Murray. The Murray that Sergio is getting, what was it, $5 million to fight.

As far as the WBC stripping Sergio, why would they do that? Would they do it because it would be a unification bout with GGG? If that is a problem than the simple answer would be to vacate one of the titles. Because in the long run it doesn't matter what belt he holds and he should have no problem getting Junior back in the ring. That is if he even cares about a rematch.

so DiBella, fighting Murray (completely unknown) makes more economical sense than a guy who's been fighting on HBO (GGG) ???
tell the truth, Martinez is on his way out and it makes sense to milk whatever is left of him. No one wanted to watch Martinez vs Murray in the US, hence they decided to let him fight in Argentina

This argument does not make the least bit of sense when Martinez has fought Darren Barker and Sergei Dzinziruk, and is fighting Martin Murray next.

You trying to tell me those three bring money that Golovkin can't?

Pirog's people only offered the fight in Russia after DiBella turned it down in the U.S., claiming they couldn't make the money he wanted for Martinez. Fighting in Russia would have made that money.

LMAO!!!! This is the same guy who struggled with Gabriel Rosado and boxing expects here are claiming he will destroy Martinez!!! Thanks for a good laugh guys. You can't make this stuff up. It's too damn funny. You know we should have a comedy section and this right here would definitely belong there.

Nothing new from dibella here, they used to the same argument to duck Pirog after he destroyed Jacobs.
