I just think they under prepared for this fight and had no answers for what Rico brought to the table.
That's the truth right here. When they have no plan to fight a counter puncher, the go to plan is 1. PRESSURE, KEEP PRESSURE. 2. MORE PUNCHES, MORE PUNCHES!!!

It may work against some, but Rigo like Mayweather, are too polished.

Rigo was using Jedi mind tricks and Samurai moves.

      Not fair!

I think he felt Rigo's power and saw that Rigo could take his, and also the speed and footwork...all in that very first round. He seemed to be fighting scared in my opinion, probably something he's never felt since the early parts of the Darchinyan fight.

As soon as Donaire started mentioning his shoulder I was thinking please just stop. It may be true, but just looked bad.

He should have just kept things simple and classy in his post fight interview.

No excuses but Donaire did not fight the right fight. He should have pressured Rigo and threw a trillion punches, instead he followed Rigo around the ring like he was ok with taking second place in a track meet. Rigo deserved it. If it wasn't a boring fight I would hope for a rematch, but now I don't.

No one to blame but Nonito himself. Lampley touched upon Nonitos training and that Garcia was never around and conducted training over the phone.

I noticed as well that Garcia wasnt leading the charge in this fight and some other dude was calling the shots.
