i felt sorry for donaire when his orbital bone looked like it was broken in the 12th and he was squinting backwards on the ropes.

(donaire really wanted to knock out rigo in the 12th and almost got knocked out himself. rigo was dead serious with doanire in that 12th round)

Rigondeaux is flat out wrong for that kinda performance.

I did think the fight was a toss up, I did predict that Rigo either outsmarts him to a UD (which was my final prediction) or that Donaire hits him with a very unorthodox left hook like Marroquin did (coming from the waist or another sneaky type, for example) and that's kind of what happened.

I did think it would be a lot less decisive in the early going and that Rigo and Donaire would basically split it down the middle for the first 8 and that then Rigo would begin to take control.

Regardless. Great win, I'm glad I got on the Rigo train.

I was panicky at the knockdown but I knew it was fine when Rigo put his hands out to cushion the fall. Up like a champ as well, bowing like a samurai.
